Started out with Hardback Records and then BGP before founding Acid Jazz and then onto Talkin’ Loud. From there launched Brownswood Recordings which is still active to this day. Also created Arc Recordings to shine a light on records from the archive and the stories that brought them to the world. A catalogue of almost 1000 records to choose from.

Brownswood Recordings

Started Brownswood Recordings in 2006. Originally (and proudly!) rooted in London’s diverse music community, the label has become a hub for eclectic genre-defying music from across the globe.

Established in 1987 until I left in 1990 to form Talkin' Loud.

Founded in 1990. Ran the label for over a decade with Paul Martin before leaving in 2001.

Soul, funk and jazz dance reissue label founded with Baz Fe Jazz the name came from our initials but was dubbed Beat Goes Public - until we left in the early 1990s.
